A long sleepless night. Hours churn by. Morning finally comes.
Sophie laughs despite the early hour as our puppy begs attention. She’s a brave girl taking the train to school still in the dark hours.
After she leaves I go for a walk with the dog up the mountain at sunrise. The autumn colors brighten as the fog lifts and the sadness and fear from the night beginn to dissapate. All that beauty gives hope. It is easier to live in the moment during the day.
Returning home and to my office, responsibilities await. My busy life just sweeps me up and I concentrate on the task at hand.
